Emma took an hour and a half nap in Nana's big cozy, comfy bed.
She caught up with "Uncle Matty" while they played with her puzzles.
Matty read Emma most of her large collection of books. Emma really missed Matty while he was on vacation. Note, Matt missed Emma too!
We played "frisbee" on the porch.
We all logged some time in our rocking chairs on the porch.
Emma had a pizza party on the porch.
She played a couple of rounds of "porch golf."
UPS delivered my new Canon 50D around 6:30 this evening. After charging the battery and reading some directions, I started stalking Big D and Sophie around the house. Here are a few of my first practice shots. I am definitely going to need some lessons.... as it is going to take me a long, long time to explore all of the features of this wonderful machine.
Emma was sick over the weekend, so we kept her away from Bobby for the first few days of our beach trip. Here are some pictures of their first encounter. She is fascinated by his tiny feet.
Molly brought the sun tent that we used for Emma last year. The idea was that we would let Bobby use it this year. As soon as we got it out, Emma was in it and calling to all family members to join her. "Come on, Nana." "Come on, Big D." Everyone has had a turn in the sun tent with Emma, including Nana.
We are at the beach again this year for our family vacation. This year, we have a new addition - Bobby Howell. Emma calls him "Baby Bobby." Dan and I arrived on Sunday in time to pick up Bobby and Emily from the airport. Molly, Bjarne, and Emma joined us on Monday afternoon. Here is a picture of Bobby and his friend George.
Happy Father's Day to all the special fathers in my life -- my dear husband and Bjarne and Robert, my sons-in-law. Miss Emma spent the day playing with us and Molly and Bjarne came for dinner. We enjoyed grilled chicken, sliced tomatoes, corn on the cob, and grilled veggies. Strawberry sundaes finished our meal. I didn't take a single picture this weekend, but here is a picture I took of Emma and Bjarne last weekend.
