Bobby and Emily coming Monday night!

I was in Houston for work last week and in Philly this week doing training and taking a certification exam. I perked up considerably to find out that Emily and Bobby are coming Monday for an extended visit in the States.

I can't wait! Big D and I are going shopping for a crib this morning. We have a Pack-N-Play, but now that we are fully into the Grandparent Business - it would be nice to outfit one of our guest rooms with a crib.

First, "I love you"

Bjarne, Molly, and Emma stopped by yesterday for dinner. We ordered take out and spent some time catching up on the week. Emma had her usual bath in Nana's kitchen sink after dinner and we all got to watch some Wiggles.

When they were leaving, Miss Emma said, "Bye-bye, Nana, I love you." It melted my heart.

Sophie's Sunday Morning

If you don't know by now, we let Sophie sleep with us. She usually sleeps between us and when I get up, she scoots over and gets in my spot. Here is a picture from this morning.

Nap Time at Nana's

The last couple of visits, I have put Emma down in the middle of our king-sized bed for her nap. I am sitting beside the bed now as she sleeps reviewing the photos that I took earlier. She has been down 1.5 hours so far....

Lollipop, Lollipop

Emma came for a visit with Nana today. Molly had promised her a lollipop before she came, so Big D went out and bought a bag full. Our baby is so smart. I asked her what color it was and she quickly replied, "Orange."

Sunday Fun

A Big Kiss for Uncle Matty!

Molly, Bjarne, and Emma came for Sunday dinner. Emma had fun and didn't sit still for a minute. She played on the porch, tried on Big D's hat, read books with Uncle Matty, and wore us all out! At one point in the evening she yelled out, "Big D, I want Wiggles!" Big D, Bjarne, and Matt had to relinquish their claim on the golf channel so Emma could watch some Wiggles. She loves to sing now and knows the words to several songs. We sang "Twinkle, Twinkle" and "The Wheels on the Bus" this evening. Emma does a quite animated "Wheels on the Bus."

Cousin's at Play

Molly and Bjarne had us over for dinner this evening. Cori, Jason, and Missy were there along with Brendon and Jayla. Emma and Brendon had a few encounters, but also enjoyed playing with each other inside and outside.

Sophie's Photo Shoot

I am practicing, practicing, practicing with my new camera. Both Matty and Dan are tired of being stalked around the house with a camera, so it is Sophie's turn. Here are shots I took this morning. We are going over to Molly's for dinner this evening. She asked me to bring my camera, so I should have more shots to post later today.

The Way She Plays....

Emma always has to touch every book, doll, cookie, cupcake, and toy when she visits Nana's house! Today's visit was no different. Uncle Matt got to read books, play with the farm, and we all got to sample some play food. Matt had milk and cookies waiting for Emma when she arrived. Emma stood in the kitchen and chanted, "I like cookies, I like cookies, I like cookies"....Oreos, of course.
