Easter Egg Tree

Emma decorated Nana's Easter Egg Tree today. We had a busy day. Emma did not have pre-school today, so she came over for a play day. We started the morning by filling all of our plastic eggs with candy for the egg hunt this weekend. We had a visit to the pet and toy stores and a McDonald's lunch. After nap time, we watched Bambi while decorating the egg tree and then took a bubble bath. A fun and full day!

The Boss of the Sprinkles

Emma came over on Sunday for a morning play date with Nana and Matty. I made cupcakes and let Emma be "the boss of the sprinkles." Matty set her up with bowls of 3 different kinds of sprinkles and she got busy decorating the tops of the cupcakes. As you can see, she did sample her work.

Friday Evening Yogurt Snack

Emma stopped by on Friday while her Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a night out. She was hungry as soon as she walked in the door and enjoyed a snack of strawberry yogurt. I used my new camera lense on these shots too. I need the practice!

Easter Parade

I was able to attend Emma's Easter Parade this morning and took my camera. The lighting was not great where I was standing, but I did get a couple of shots worth posting of Emma. Her class wore ladybug costumes - too cute!

Weekend with the Boys

Emily and Robert went to London last week and we were able to keep the boys last weekend. I must say, they wore us out! Matty was the babysitter supreme and kept Bobby entertained. Noah is such a happy and sweet baby. I really enjoyed my cuddle time with him.

I was too busy to take many photos. Here are a few of the favorites I did get.

Bobby's 2nd Birthday party

Last weekend we hosted Bobby's second birthday party at our home. He and his family and friends enjoyed much fun jumping and sliding on a bounce castle. We had cookies, cupcakes, pizza, and Capri Sun drinks. As you can see from the pictures - they like Capri Sun!

Bobby at 2 years

Here is my favorite shot of Bobby from his birthday party last weekend with his sweet face covered in cupcake icing.

Portrait of Emma March 6,2011

I love capturing portraits of this beautiful little girl. She has so many expressions that I love. Here is my favorite shot taken during a play date at Nana's house earlier in the month.

Favorite Shots from the Weekend - Bobby and Noah

Dan and I visited with Emily, Bobby, and Noah this weekend. We took a fun trip to the Greenville Zoo on Saturday and hung around the house enjoying the boys. Here are my favorite shots of each of them from the weekend.

Ariel in Black and White

As I was reviewing pictures I took at the Greenville Zoo yesterday, I found this one of Emma in her Ariel costume. Converted to black and white, this one is precious.

New Year's Day 2011

We were fortunate to be able to have our entire family together for dinner on New Year's day. We had the traditional menu -

Roast Pork
Macaroni and Cheese
Collard Greens
Black Eyed Peas
Baked Apples

Our family is growing, we now count 10 with the addition of baby Noah this year. Next year we will need to set a kid's table.
One of my goals for 2011 is to improve my photography skills. I plan to take a photo each day of 2011 for practice. Here is my photo for New Year's day - a sink full of collard greens.

Happy New Year!

Christmas Eve 2010

Here are some shots that I took on Christmas Eve. They include our usual Christmas Eve celebration with a menu of ham, shrimp, fruit, veggies, cheese, and assorted cookies. I got a shot of Emily and Noah taking a nap in the afternoon. Both Emily and Robert are suffering from newborn sleep deprivation.
With newborn Noah, 21 month Bobby, and just turned 3 Emma - our Christmas Eve was filled with activity. We are blessed.

Dove Bars

Emma visited on Sunday. She requested a taco salad for lunch. This lunch has become a standard request and she eats it well. For dessert, she enjoyed a chocolate Dove bar. She had her first one the week before. As soon as she tasted the first bite she said, "Nana, when I finish this I am going to have another one." Here are some photos of her enjoying dessert.

Brothers

I was able to visit with Emily, Robert, Bobby, and Noah last week. Everyone is doing fine and Emily is just an amazing mother. She has a big job with Noah and his feeding schedule while balancing her time and showing Bobby the attention that he needs now.

Both boys are just darling. Bobby calls me "Nanny" and is very much all boy. He also loves music Check Spellingand dancing. Noah has beautiful coloring and a head full of dark hair. Here are my favorite photos from the week.
