March 29 - Fabric Banners

I am finishing up some fabric banners today for my Etsy Shop.  I made these for nursery or children's room decor in a style for boys and a style for girls.  I am working now to post some cute birthday banners..... coming soon!  I have my prototypes done, but just need to complete the photography.

March 12 - Little Monster Tooth Fairy Pillow

I added a new tooth fairy pillow design to my Etsy shop today.  It is a "little monster" in green dots and stripes with an initial applique on the back.  His mouth holds the tooth and $$$.  I made this sample up with Noah in mind!

February 28 - Little Chick Rattle

This little chick baby rattle I designed is crafted using a designer yellow dotted print by Moda and has a soft minky back and wool felt heart and features.  He has an initial appliqued on his back.  Wouldn't these be cute for a baby's Easter basket?

January 27 - Counting Fish and Caterpillar Rattle

I finished 2 new designs today and listed them on Etsy.  I love the green, aqua, and orange color combination.  It's so bright and cheery!

I made a set of 10 counting fish with an appliqued carrying/storage drawstring bag and a caterpillar rattle.

I finished these 3 little owl bean bag toys this morning.  They have an initial appliqued on their backs.

January 18 - A Snowy Winter Morning

It snowed in Charlotte last night.  We don't see snow much here.  I took a shot from our front porch this cold morning.

Time to catch up on my blogging...

I haven't posted since the end of November, wow!  What have I been doing?  The answer is filling orders on my Etsy shop that I opened the end of September.  I introduced an owl tooth fairy pillow that I designed to my shop the end of November.

I did not anticipate their popularity!  As of this morning, I have sold (and gifted a few) a total of 80 tooth fairy pillows in about 7 weeks.  Keeping up with these orders has taken most of my free time.  I plan to go back and post entries from 2012 and catch up on my daily blog diary soon.  Here is a shot of the stack of my work that is shipping today.

November 29 - Stuffed Peppers for Dinner

I made one of our favorites for dinner this evening - stuffed peppers.

November 27 - Owl Tooth Fairy Pillows

What is on my work table today?  Owl Tooth Fairy Pillows in pink.  I have sold 10 of these in less than a week in my Etsy shop.  Only one was in blue polka dots - the boy version.  The rest are for little girls.  I love the names and imagining these sweet little girls.  These are definitely a hit!

November 25 - More Baby Bibs

I picked out a collection of yellow, aqua, and white prints from my stash today to complete a custom order for baby bibs in my Etsy shop.  The buyer wants bibs that are gender neutral.  I think these will work!

November 24 - Fleece Hats for Bobby and Noah

I pulled out the fleece and the patterns this evening.  I need to make Bobby and Noah some hats and get them in the mail to Emily.  I decided on matching hats in blue for the first try and these have cute flaps that cover their ears.  I'll be waiting on sizing feedback before I make any more.  Fleece hats are so quick to sew - instant gratification!

November 22 - Owl Tooth Fairy Pillow

I made this cute little owl tooth fairy pillow today to list in my Etsy shop.  This is the prototype and I put Bobby's initial on it, as he will be the next one in line to need the tooth fairy.  I will be making one in pink for girls.  I love the bright colors in this one.

November 21 - Burgers for Lunch

Dan and I ate lunch today at one of our favorite burger places - Smashburger.  I took this shot with my phone.  After lunch, we headed out to shop for supplies we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner.

November 20 - Bunny Doll

I have not figured out how to set the ISO or Autofocus on my new camera yet.... I spent some time today attempting to get a better shot of the bunny I made.  I ended up with this shot and also downloading a book to my iPad on the Canon 5D Mark III that I just bought.  Hopefully my shots will be improving after I read how to adjust the settings on this camera!

November 19 - Emma lost her first tooth

Emma lost her first tooth today.  I rushed to finish a tooth fairy pillow for Molly to pick up on her way home from work.  I found out later that Emma lost the tooth at school and the tooth was no where to be found.  Emma was also scared of a tooth fairy coming into her bedroom at night.  Molly told Emma that her mother was the "real" tooth fairy, the pillow was filled with money, and all was well the next morning.

November 18 - Happy Birthday Noah

Noah is turning 2 years old on December 2.  Due to everyone's hectic schedules, we celebrated when Emily and Robert where in Charlotte with the boys this weekend.  Here are some shots of the festivities.
