November 12 - Another Bib and Burp in Pink Chenille

Here is the new baby bib and burp cloth set I finished today.  I love this print and it coordinates with the red, pink, green and white set that I posted yesterday.  I love the soft pink and fluffy chenille.

November 11 - What is on my work table today?

I spent today finishing up some baby bibs to coordinate with the burp cloths that I finished earlier.  I love picking out the cute fabrics and the sewing is easy!  The only downside is the "chenille mess" that I make.  Although it is messy, it is so very soft and absorbent.  My favorite is the large pink, red, white and green print bib and burp cloth set - love, love the print and the pink chenille!

This last shot is the stack of work I finished today.  I was productive!

November 10 - Rick Rack Crinkle Owl

Here is the new "crinkle" owl (baby sensory toy) that I finished today.  It is the same pattern, but just in a different fabric combination.  I love this pink rick rack print!

November 9 - Emma's "Look"

I picked Emma up from school this afternoon.  She spent time playing with Matt and our dogs.  My new camera arrived this afternoon and I was trying it out after the batteries charged.  I got this shot of Emma giving me a "look" when I was taking some initial test shots.

November 8 - Little Owl Rattle

I sold the owl rattle I had listed on Etsy and made another one today - a new and improved model.  I can finished this one all on the machine - no hand stitching.  It also has a soft minky fabric back so it it better for a baby to cuddle.

November 7 - Two little owls headed for Texas

The little Crinkle Owl baby toys that I make for my Etsy shop have been the most popular items so far.  I packed up these two today for shipment to Texas.  So far, I have made them in polka dots in pink, blue, green, and purple.  I am working on one now that is in a cute pink zig zag print.

November 6 - New Camera on Order

I have been thinking about upgrading my camera for a while now.  I love my Canon 50D, but have been coveting the new Canon 5D Mark III.  I shoot most of my photographs in low light conditions and I do believe this camera is the model for me now.  I ordered it this evening - body only (as I already have great lenses that fit it) with a few accessories.

It is scheduled to be delivered on Friday.  I can't wait!

November 5 - Chenille Burp Cloths

I finished the 5 sets of chenille burp cloths that I started over the weekend.  I made a mess, but had a good time doing it!  I made the band that surrounds each set with grosgrain ribbon, my little labels, and added a velcro closing in the back of the band to make it easy to wrap them up.

November 4 - It is snowing in my work area!

I spent some time today cutting out some cute cotton print fabrics and chenille for some baby burp cloth sets that I am making.  It is snowing chenille in my work area - so much so, that my dear husband bought me a small hand held vacuum when he was running errands today!

I must have looked at 20 or more tutorials online on making burp cloths before I started.  I made a few Christmas baby bibs earlier and decided to make some burp cloths to match.  I cut out 5 sets of 3 cloths - 1 Christmas, 2 girl prints, and 2 boy prints.  I hope to finish them tomorrow and get them listed on Etsy.

November 3 - Go Tigers!

Emma came over in her Clemson Cheerleader outfit late this afternoon.  She is spending the night with us and we plan to watch the Clemson game.  Here are some shots of Emma showing Charlie some love.  She loves our dogs!  She can wear them out too!

November 2 - Bean Bags with Drawstring Bag

I finished a set of Christmas bean bags today that include a cute little drawstring bag to carry them in.  I hope to finish 2 sets of rainbow colored bean bags with drawstring bags today too!  Busy, busy, busy.... and having fun!!

I did finish another set of bean bags!  I was productive today.  Here is the set in rainbow colors, I love the fun prints I used for the bag.

November 1 - One last headband

I finished up one last headband to list on Etsy early this morning.  What is next?

  1. Correctly sized fleece mittens for Bobby and Noah (maybe Emma if she is interested)
  2. Fleece hats for the boys
  3. Fleece headbands for Emily and me
  4. Another few sets of rainbow colored bean bags for Etsy - I sold out of the ones I had yesterday (the new sets will include a carrying bag)

October 31 - Halloween and another headband

I finished up another headband this evening before the trick-or-treaters started arriving at our door. We had quite a few this year, as the weather was perfect!  My photo for the day is a shot taken of the side of our front porch this evening.

October 30 - Chartreuse

I got this funky chartreuse, black, and white print fabric as a "freebie" with a purchase of fabric when we were in California in September.  I paired it with some other black and white prints to make a cute and funky headband.

October 29 - Mittens for Noah and Bobby

What is on my work table tonight?  Mittens for Bobby and Noah.  I traced around both of their little hands and measured their wrists this past weekend.  I found and made some modifications to a pattern on the internet.  I am going to make up a few pair tonight and send to Emily in the morning to see how I should correctly size them for the boys.

October 28 - Headbands

I spent time today finishing a new group of flowered headbands for my Etsy inventory.  Here are some shots of the finished products.
