May 30 - Headbands for Emma

I made a prototype blue headband with a fabric flower on Monday.  As soon as I can try this on Emma for size, I am ready to go into production.

May 29 - Daisies and Daylilies

Today I got some shots at dusk of the daisies and daylilies blooming in our yard.  We have hundreds of blooms!

May 28 - Holiday Loafing

I spent a very, very quiet and relaxing day today.  We had plenty of leftovers.. so, no cooking.  I read Harlen Coben's latest release from start to finish - started on the back porch and finished in bed.  I also caught up on some photo editing and blogging.  I spent some of the evening researching headband patterns and made one for Emma.  My kind of day!

May 27 - Birthday Dinner for Matt

We celebrated Matt's birthday with a dinner of his choosing this evening.  Molly, Bjarne, and Emma joined us for a menu of - pulled pork BBQ, pasta salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, tomato caprese salad, sugar bacon (for Emma), and coconut cake with fresh strawberries.  Everyone had a good visit.  Molly took home some leftovers and we will have plenty for tomorrow.

May 26 - Cosmetic Bags for Molly

Molly requested that I make her some large sized cosmetic bags.  She picked out the fabric from my stash and I made these great bags lined with vinyl.  I was very pleased with the results!  I also made a matching tote bag for her.

May 25 - Blooms

We have dozens of daisies in bloom now.  Matt and I split them apart and moved them this spring and they are doing great!  I have been photographing this one hydrangea bloom for a while now to track its progress and record the change.

May 24 - Photos of Photos

I went to Greenville today to help supervise the hanging of the photographs I had framed for Dan's office.  We hung 16 of my photographs taken in downtown Greenville along with a framed company logo.  I got this shot of one of the walls after we finished.

May 23 - New Flip Flops

I wore the new flip flops Molly gave me for Mother's Day today.  I love the bright soles!

May 22 - Crayon Pouch

I finished the crayon pouch I was working on for Emma today.  It measures 5.25 x 5.25 inches and is made from 100% cotton prints with a plasticized lining in blue and white polka dots.

May 21 - More Applique

Here are a couple of other applique designs that I created for some zippered pouches that I am making.  These are planned for crayon pouches that will have a plastic coated interior lining.

May 20 - Cupcakes and Daisies

The subjects of my photographs today include a cute cupcake applique design with beaded sprinkles that I made for a current project and a shot of our daisies that are starting to bloom.

May 19 - What's in Emma's Backpack?

Bjarne, Molly, and Emma came over and brought in a BBQ dinner this evening.  Emma brought a backpack filled with goodies.  We exchanged Mother's Day presents and had a good visit.

May 18 - Appliqued zippered pouch

Check out this cute appliqued zippered pouch I made today.  I am designing some more to make this weekend.  Fun!

May 17 - Macro Shots

I put my macro lens on my camera today and captured some shots of the blooms in our yard and garden.  The first daisy bloomed today and we should have a multitude of daisy blooms in the next week. 

May 16 - Orange

I captured shots of two different "orange things" in my world today.  The first shot is of a small group of orange daylilies that are blooming in our yard.  The second is the latest bag I made with a wonderful orange lining and pink and orange print.

May 15 - Hydrangea Bloom

I have been watching this hydrangea bloom slowly open.  It's almost there!

May 14 - Charlie Day

Today is Charlie's 4 month anniversary of joining the Springer household.  I have been capturing a shot of him on the 14th of every month.  This is one cute, sweet, and loving dog!

May 13 - Mother's Day

We enjoyed a very quiet day today.  I worked on my projects and enjoyed the day.  The picture of the day is of my beautiful Mother's Day roses that have opened now.

Those that know me well know that I am somewhat of a perfectionist.  I made one tote bag, ordered a book, researched making them online, ordered a few patterns. and I am now in tote bag making mode.  I made one for each of my favorite girls - Molly, Emily, and Emma.   I am now working on makeup and small bags to go inside the totes in matching fabrics.

May 11 - Roses from my favorite men

These beautiful roses arrived today as a Mother's Day surprise from Matt and Dan.  They are extra special, as Matt took them out of the box and arranged them himself before I got home from a Jeep ride with Dan.
