Christmas Sewing
I have been working on Christmas designs the last few weeks and finished up a line of modern quilted stockings this past weekend. I had some assistance on the quilting - used my new Bernina 750 QE. I am a Bernina lover!

Getting in the Fall spirit!
I'm getting in the Fall spirit and pulled out the "fall themed" pincushion I made earlier in the year to sit on my work table. I made it using linen, designer cotton prints, wool felt, and a tape measure printed cotton twill tape. I love it!

Scrappy Quilted Patchwork Pillows
In my previous post, I outlined my "dive" into a huge and growing pile of fabric scraps.
I wanted to post my first two finished projects from my efforts working in my scrap pile - Scrappy Quilted Patchwork Pillows. One is a 16 inch pillow and the other is a 20 inch pillow, both made with an envelope style back. These cute "one of a kind" pillow tops will soon be available for sale in my Etsy shop.

What to do with a mountain of fabric scraps?????
I am coming up on the 2 year anniversary of opening my Etsy shop. Earlier this month, I made up my mind to do something with the growing volume of fabric scraps that I have
I did have them organized by color in bins.
I am a huge Pinterest fan and go there often for inspiration. I found a blog post by Lori Holt that got me started - http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2013/08/from-my-quilty-studiohow-i-save-my.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed:+BeeInMyBonnet+(Bee+In+My+Bonnet)
After reading through Lori's post, I started wading through my scrap piles and cutting strips of fabric.
I then started using the "Leaders and Enders" technique (also described in another post by Lori Holt - http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2011/07/leaders-and-enders.html ) to sew my little scraps together.
I no time, I had a stack of pieced blocks that I used to make two fun quilted pillow covers.

Appliqued and Quilted Pillow
I spent some time this weekend designing a new pillow. The top has been appliqued and then quilted in 100% cotton designer prints. It has been bound like a quilt in a cute black and white stripe and made in an envelope style and backed in a natural colored linen. The cover is made to fit a 16 inch pillow form.
I will be selling this and other pillow covers in my Etsy shop soon.

Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Goodie Bags
I have been designing some new products for my Etsy shop. Since the Bunny Jelly Bean Bags were such a great hit at Easter time this year, I decided to design a treat bag for Halloween goodies.
These little bags are fully lined and the Jack-O-Lantern's face has been appliqued by fusing and then stitching. These were sewn using cute orange/white and green/lime polka dot fabrics.
I will have to get them reviewed by Emma (my 6 year old granddaughter) the next time she comes over. I imagine she will be taking one home with her, as she usually leaves my home with at least one find.

"Bunny Ears" Jelly Bean Drawstring Bags - Easter Gift bags
My worktable is full of little bunny "parts" for the drawstring Easter gift bags I am making. They are just the right size for holding a stash of jelly beans or a small gift in your Easter baskets. I love picking out all of the fun color combinations. They are now listed for sale in my Etsy shop.

Easter Basket Tags or Gift Tags
I made these cute Easter Basket Tags in linen and 100% cotton prints. I love the jelly bean fabric.
I designed these to be appliqued with an initial too - that way they can be used to identify a little one's Easter basket.
